Your site speed is now more important than ever

A major announcement in terms of SEO this week is that Google is now taking the overall speed of your website into account when it does it’s site rankings. I’m sure for a lot of people this may be a concern, and this goes for clients and web developers alike. Clients who want to have super complex sites with all sorts of fancy gimmicks may find they are now dropped a position or so simply because with all their extra bits and pieces the overall speed of the site is rather slow. Web developers who like to think that speeding up a site they’ve created is a waste of time as it may affect their bottom line (speed testing and improvements take time) will now have to think twice about it if they want their clients to be happy.
